July Newsletter

Some times life throws us a curve ball. Those times when we find ourselves facing challenges we never dreamed we would have to endure. God never promised life would be without hardships and challenges. As a matter of fact, Jesus tells us in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble.” But God did promise to never leave us to walk through those troubles alone. I am thankful for the many ways God shows up in these difficult times.

I am thankful for the beauty of a quiet summer morning, a good cup of coffee, my new furry companion that offers me lots of snuggles and unconditional love. I’m thankful my husband who helps to carry the load, for family and friends who offer encouragement and support. I’m thankful for a church who surrounds me with prayer. Yes! I am thankful for the many ways God shows up at just the right time and provides just what I need when it is needed.

What challenges are you facing? How has God showed up in the midst of your challenges? What are you thankful for today?

And most importantly, how can we care for and support you?

Pastor Peggy

Upcoming Sermons…

Just a few more weeks left in our sermon series on the parables of Jesus.

July 5- New Cloth Mathew 9:16-17

July 12-Laborers int he Vineyard Matthew 20:1-16

July 19-Unforgiving Servant Matthew 18:21-35

July 26, we will begin a new sermon series. Many of us learned our first lessons about God through simple songs, Bible stories, and Sunday School teachers who planted seeds of faith in our hearts. Beginning July 26, we'll revisit some of those familiar childhood favorites and discover the deep biblical truths they still have to teach us today. From God's love and shining our light to finding joy and trusting God's power over our fears, these timeless lessons are not just for children—they are truths that can guide us through every stage of life.

Join us as we rediscover the songs and stories that shaped our faith and remember that some of life's most important lessons are the ones we learned in Sunday School.

Missions Update

One of the greatest ways we live out our faith is by serving others. This month, we have two opportunities to make a difference beyond our church walls.

We are collecting school supplies to help local students begin the new school year with the tools they need to succeed. (Please return items by July 22) On July 19, we will also receive a special offering for UMCOR, whose ministry brings hope and practical assistance to people facing disasters, conflict, and hardship around the world.

Thank you for your generosity and for continuing to be the hands and feet of Christ. Together, we can share God's love in meaningful ways.

Wednesday Evening Bible Study

You're invited to join us on Wednesday evenings as we begin a new Bible study exploring the Women of the Bible. Together we'll discover the stories of women whose faith, courage, struggles, and obedience continue to speak to us today. Whether you've been studying Scripture for years or are just beginning, there's a place for you. Come grow in faith, enjoy meaningful conversation, and deepen your understanding of God's Word.

Wednesdays at 7pm. Everyone welcome!

FYI…

  • Be sure to stop by and check out our new bulletin board display! It's filled with photos and reminders of the many ways our church has been serving our community and beyond.

Take a moment to play along and see how many ministry projects you can identify. You may be surprised by just how much God has accomplished through the hands and hearts of our church family. Every project tells a story of lives touched and Christ's love shared.

    How many can you find?

  • We're getting ready to begin our bathroom remodel—a project that will help make our church more welcoming and functional for everyone.

As work gets underway, we'll need volunteers to help with a variety of tasks. Whether you're handy with tools or simply willing to lend a helping hand, your time and talents can make a real difference. Watch for more details, and thank you for helping us care for our church home!

Meet Our New Assistant "Paw-stor!" 🐾

I'd like to introduce the newest member of the Robinson Chapel family—Henri, my playful Maltese puppy! While he's still learning the ropes (and occasionally getting into a little mischief), he's already bringing plenty of smiles wherever he goes.

You may see Henri around the church from time to time as he grows and learns alongside us. He's especially good at greeting people, accepting belly rubs, and reminding us to find joy in the little things.

Be sure to say hello if you see our new assistant "Paw-stor!" He may not preach a sermon, but he's always happy to share a wagging tail and a little extra cheer!
