Here's what will be happening in the weeks ahead...

Summer is winding down and I know I find myself getting back into a more normal rhythm and routine. A part of that routine here at Robinson Chapel is the kickoff to a new sermon series and Tuesday evening Bible Study. You will find information about these 2 things and much more in this newsletter. I hope you will plan to join us!

Most Christians know the Lord’s Prayer by heart. We pray it often, at different times and in different settings. We remember it as the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples. But do we really understand and appreciate the meaning and power of its words, what we ask of God each time we pray it? During this 6 week series, we will explore each line of the Lord’s Prayer to discover their meaning and what we are asking of God and ourselves through its words.
You're Invited!
Tuesday Evening Small Group Study
6:30–7:30 PM

Join us for a meaningful hour of conversation, reflection, and fellowship as we dive deep into The Lord’s Prayer. Whether these words are familiar or new to you, we’ll explore together what Jesus taught us about how to pray — and what it reveals about God's heart and our own. This is a casual, welcoming group open to all. Come as you are, bring a Bible if you’d like, and get ready to grow in faith and community. |

Robinson Chapel UMC Summer Sports Meals
In an effort to promote awareness of Robinson Chapel in the community, the mission team decided to partner with the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation. We planned to serve meals to the youth participating in the Soccer and T-Ball practices, in the field next to the church. The Park & Rec program runs for 8 weeks. We chose to serve meals one night each week. Unfortunately, due to weather two of the meals were cancelled. Over six weeks we served 135 hot dogs along with chips and water to the players and their families. We averaged 22 meals each week. We were pleased to see that after practices the families sat down and ate with the kids. Then continue to stay around and talk while the kids played on the playground. Everyone we served was very grateful and appreciative of the service provided. While everyone who helped serve had a good time. For a minimal cost and a little volunteer time we reached out and touched over 130 people in our community.
Thank you to everyone who participated by donating items for our “Backpacks of Blessings”. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Apple Dumpling Day- Saturday, September 20
Last year was my first time helping to make apple dumplings here at Robinson Chapel. I don’t think I have ever stuffed so many apples with butter, cinnamon, and sugar in my life. But what I will never forget is the laughter and the love shared during those hours of preparing hundreds of apple dumplings!
